THE STORY PART 2/4. THE AMERICAN CONNECTION

Although Biggles’ Biplane was shipped to the USA to be flown in the movie
‘Biggles Sweeps The Skies’, filming was never completed. Instead the
aeroplane was used for some other filming including for the
BBC series “Wings”, then was sold to a group of pilots operating a
‘Flying Circus’ based at Bealeton in Virginia. After flying in a number of air shows,
the biplane crashed in Wisconsin in 1977.
