In the early 1990s, Stephen Slater was awarded a PR Week award for an innovative campaign that introduced Labatt's sponsorship of a team in the prestigious British Touring Car Championship. The Canadian brewer went on to sponsor the Williams team.

From 1999-2004, Kingpin Media handled media relations for the development of Rockingham, Britain's first purpose-built motor racing circuit since 1907. This included everything from local government, planning and environmental issues, to corporate and financial media relations, as well as event promotion.

Kingpin Media even assisted in co-ordinating media activities for a visit to Rockingham by Her Majesty the Queen!

 

 

The circuit also host Britain’s first-ever round of the American ChampCar series, for which Kingpin Media operated an international media centre accommodating over 500 journalists.

In 2007, Kingpin Media handled media and public relations for GPLive, a ground-breaking event at Donington Park, which celebrated Grand Prix motor racing with a huge line-up of spectacular cars and legendary drivers. It was voted ‘summer event of the year’ by Classic Cars magazine.
