In September 2008 the Formula 1™ SingTel Singapore Grand Prix made history as the first ever F1 race to be held under floodlights at night. Kingpin Media has acted as a European media consultant and adviser, both in the build-up to the initial event and in the subsequent marketing programmes for 2009 and 2010.

The sell-out 2008 event hosted more than 100,000 spectators over each of its three days, over 40% of which were overseas visitors, exceeding the targets set by the Singapore Tourism Board and Singapore GP Limited.

The event media operation hosts over 500 journalists and photographers, while over 100 million TV viewers are estimated to have watched the live coverage of the race In 2009, the race bucked market trends by maintaining sell-out status for almost all ticket areas, with added world-leading live entertsinment attractions and activities including the Far-Eastern Premiere of the award-winning movie "Senna" adding to Singapore GP's reputation for innovation.



TheFormula 1™ SingTel Singapore Grand Prix has won some of most prestigious awards for excellence in the international motor sports community, including the covetted FIA Promoter of the Year Award.

The Federation Internationale De L'Automobile selected Singapore GP Pte Ltd for gold award, for "its magnificent effort in organising Formula One's™ first ever night race"

The Singapore track was also named the World-wide Motor Sport Facility of the Year at the Professional Motorsport World Expo in Germany.

The race organisers were also presented with the Pioneering and Innovation Award at the Autosport Awards in London.
